Welcome to Rachel’s Words (formerly known as “Crocheting Cures Mental Illness”)

Hello Readers!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday! Me? I am typing instead of sleeping! It is 1:45 am and I could not wait to tell you all that I am back! I took too much time off and I am ready to get started on this writing journey. So stick around, and I will try and post something new every day, or at least that is my goal!

Happy Sunday!

Hello, Do I Have Any Readers Left?

I never thought I’d neglect my blog for as long as I have. I’m not even sure if anyone is going to be reading this or not. So what is going on in your lives? Me? I’m still working on building my business. That’s about it. I’m busy being a mom to my 3 kids when they’re not in school, busy with life in general. I don’t take enough time with my family and friends. To let loose and just be myself, not a mom, or a wife, just me. I don’t know if that makes sense to anyone but once you’ve been a mom and wife as long as I have, you tend to lose yourself. I’m tired of living paycheck to paycheck but at least I’m trying to do something about that. I need to get out on days when it’s not so muggy and hot and go for a walk. I don’t exercise like I should so I’m unhappy with myself. So my dear readers, I’m committing to change the things in my life that make me unhappy. Anyway, these are things I’ve been thinking about. Have a great holiday weekend everyone! I’d like to thank everyone that has fought for my freedom.

NaPoWrimo April 19, 2012 Day 19/30

Great ideas!

POETRYisEVERYTHING

Thursday April 19th, 2012 NaPoWriMo Day 19

Day 19!!!

Wow. Still writing a poem every day? Most days? Re-start if you stopped… start today and write a poem a day….
Perfectionism kills creativity. Agonizing over every word, every sentence screeches the process to a halt.
Yes, edit, revise. But no one is perfect… not even YOU and your writing ain’t perfect neither! –CJJ

For career writers consistency counts, You get there by writing each and every day. Some write a few words a day, some 500 to 1,000 or more. Some days, writing a poem a day even with prompts… even with prompts I’m making up is tough to do. I want my poems to be better than they are. Always. I don’t really like showing brand new poems that haven’t rested a few weeks or months and been revised several times but I gave myself permission a long…

Don’t worry, I’m alive!!!

Hello fellow readers!

How has everyone been doing? Me? I’ve been a busy, busy, lady! I just started a new job and I haven’t quite figured out how to make time for everything! I’ve missed reading and following all of you! I need to organize my chaotic life!

I was wondering, how many people out there want to work from home? I work for an at home company and all you need is a computer, internet, and know how to talk to people 🙂 I think everyone here qualifies!!! 🙂 Here are some perks to the job besides staying at home; safer, healthier environment, residual income, better health, and well, money! 85% of the job is online, and 15% is phone calls.  I love what I do and if anyone is interested, all I need is an email to reach you at and a phone number. This is legit! So, what do you have to lose? There are free webcasts scheduled for all times during the week and help along the way to help you reach your goals and achieve your dreams!

By the way, I’d like to thank Virginia @ poetaofficium who  nominated me for awards. I’d love to follow through with the rules for it but I’m limited on time. I do apologize!!!

Have a great day all!

Rachel 🙂

Papaw

Papaw was a kind old soul
Who always made me smile
He loved to share funny stories
Of biffsniffles and rusty cars
I loved to put my hand in his
‘Cause he’d always try and trap it
I miss those days
But I have to say
I’ll see him again some day.
I love and miss you Papaw!

Happy Monday Morning!

I don’t have any pictures to post today. I had an uneventful weekend with my family at home and our Spring Break just ended 😦 Back to the hustle and bustle of getting 3 kids off to school, while I daysit a 1 yr old I’ve had the pleasure of watching the past 6 months 🙂 Then I have to pick up my daughters from school, take one of them for a pre-op appt (she’s having a cyst removed on Wednesday), dentist appt with the same daughter, then home… I have a new title as of Saturday. I’m now a Marketing Specialist, and I start my training today after my busy schedule calms down! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods 😀
