R.I.P. Davy Jones

In 2005, I worked at Caesars Indiana (now Horseshoe) as a hostess for Nero’s Cafe which was on the 4th floor of the casino boat. We were usually on at least an hour wait which led to all kind of offers from people to get them seated earlier so they could satisfy their hungry bellies and get back to gambling. On one occasion, I was asked if a party had a celebrity if it got them higher on the list…. I said no. I let the party waiting know that it would be at the least 45 minutes. About 35 minutes later, the same party asked how much longer they had. I said they were 4th on the list. They said they had Davie Jones from the band “The Monkees”. I laughed and told them if they had Davie Jones with them then I was Cinderella. Just then, Davie Jones came up to me took my hand in a shake and said, “Nice to meet you Cinderella!!!” He was seated shortly after and I went over to him embarassed and he hugged me, kissed me on the cheek, and signed this plate.
